- Brown Sugar10 g
- Butter18 g
- Caster Sugar20 g
- Cinnamon, ground1 g
- Eggs0.5 count
- Plain flour30 g
- Salted Caramel20 g
- Vanilla Extract1 g
- Water60 ml
- Sea Salt
Instructions
- 1.In a medium pan, heat the water, butter, and brown sugar over medium heat until the butter is melted and the sugar is dissolved.
- 2.Pre-heat the oven to 200c, and remove the pan from the heat and stir in the flour until the mixture forms a ball.
- 3.Add the egg one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the mixture is smooth. Stir in the salt and the vanilla extract.
- 4.In a small bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon topping.
- 5.Using a star-shaped piping tip and a large piping bag, pipe 3cm strips of dough onto a pre-line baking sheet. Using scissors to cut the dough. Bake the churros for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- 6.Remove the churros from the oven and while still hot, roll the churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- 7.Serve the churros with the caramel topping for dipping.
