Your meal plan
How is your meal plan personalised?
By the Platify team
Your meal plan starts with the foods you actually like: what you tell us during setup and the recipes you swipe or favourite. From there, each meal is sized to your calorie and macro targets, and topped up with real foods when a recipe alone does not reach them. Every ingredient comes from Australian food data, so the plan reflects what you can buy nearby.
What is a Taste Profile?
Your Taste Profile is built from the food likes you choose during setup, plus any recipes you swipe past or save as a favourite afterwards. It tells the plan which recipes to reach for first, and which to avoid.
How are meals sized to my targets?
Recipes are not served at a single fixed size. Each one is scaled up or down so the meal fits your calorie and macro targets for that slot of the day, using real ingredient quantities rather than rounded guesses.
Why don't my macros always match exactly?
The plan gets close to your calorie and macro targets, but not always to the gram. It reaches your targets by scaling real recipes, so it can only get as close as the recipes allow. This shows up most on the High Protein preset with a muscle building goal, which asks for high carbs and low fat: fewer recipes fit that shape, so those plans can land a little higher in fat and lower in carbs.
If a plan is not quite where you want it, you have two easy fixes. Adjust the ingredient quantities on a meal to shift its carbs and fat, or ask your nutrition coach for recipes that fit your targets more closely.
What is the extra food I sometimes see?
If a recipe alone would leave a gap between what it provides and what your remaining targets for the day need, the plan adds a real food, like a piece of fruit or a simple side, to close that gap. It is never a random addition; it is there to help the day add up.
Why are the ingredients Australian?
Recipes are built from Australian food data, so the ingredients and portion sizes match what you would actually find on the shelf at an AU supermarket, not generic placeholders.

Frequently asked
Does the plan ever use foods I don't like?
It shouldn't. Your plan is built from your Taste Profile, so recipes you've swiped away or marked as disliked are avoided. If one still slips through, you can swap it out.
Why does a meal sometimes come with an extra side?
When a recipe on its own would leave you short of your targets for the day, we add a real food, like fruit or a small side, rather than leaving a gap or serving an odd-sized portion.
Why are my plan's macros a little higher in fat or lower in carbs than my target?
The plan hits your targets by scaling real recipes, so it gets close but not always to the gram. The High Protein preset with a muscle building goal asks for high carbs and low fat, and fewer recipes fit that shape, so those plans can run a little higher in fat and lower in carbs. Two easy fixes: adjust the ingredient quantities on a meal to shift its carbs and fat, or ask your nutrition coach for recipes that fit your targets more closely.
