Your calorie and macro targets
How do I set my own calorie and macro targets?
By the Platify team
You can set your own calorie and macro targets any time from the Targets screen, whether you're free or Premium. Edit your daily calories, protein, carbs, fat and fibre directly, or tap Recalculate from inputs to work out fresh numbers from your body details and activity. Every change saves straight to your targets and shows up in your diary right away.
Where do I edit my targets?
Open Targets from your profile or diary. Each row (calories, protein, carbs, fat, fibre, goal weight) is directly editable. Tap Save when you're done.
What are the limits?
Calories must sit between 1200 and 4000 kcal. Protein, carbs and fat can each go up to 2000 g, and fibre up to 200 g. Goal weight, if you set one, must be between 20 and 300 kg.
What does Recalculate from inputs do?
It reworks your maintenance calories, macros and fibre target from your sex, age, weight, height, job style and how many sessions you exercise a week, using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation. It gives a maintenance-level number only, with no goal adjustment, so tweak it afterwards to suit losing, building or maintaining.
Do I need Premium to set my own targets?
No. Free members fully manage their own targets. Premium members can do the same, plus get a nutrition coach that reviews progress and recommends changes at a weekly check-in.
Frequently asked
Why can't I set my calories below 1200?
1200 to 4000 kcal is the accepted range in the app, keeping targets in a workable zone. If you think your number should sit outside it, that's a conversation for a qualified professional, not something to force through the app.
Does Recalculate from inputs use my goal (lose, build, maintain)?
No, it reworks your maintenance calories from your body details and activity, without a goal adjustment. Apply it, then adjust the numbers yourself to fit your goal.
