Logging food
How do I fix a diary entry I logged wrong?
By the Platify team
Logged the wrong food, or the wrong amount? Tap the entry in your diary. That opens a sheet where you can change the amount and save it, or delete the entry outright.
How do I change the amount I logged?
Tap the entry row. Adjust the amount in the sheet that opens and save. Your day's totals update straight away.
If the entry came from a recipe, tapping it opens the recipe instead. Delete it with a swipe and log what you actually ate.
How do I delete an entry?
Two ways:
- Tap the entry and choose Delete in the sheet.
- Swipe the row all the way across. Carry the swipe to the end; the entry is deleted when you let go.
A short swipe springs the row back closed. There is no Delete button that sits open waiting to be tapped, which is deliberate: swiping the whole way across is the part that says you meant it.
Why can't I change a From plan row?
Rows marked From plan are your meal plan showing in the diary, not entries you logged. They're read-only, so tapping one opens its recipe rather than an edit sheet, and they can't be swiped away. To eat something else, swap the meal in your plan, or log the food you actually ate from that meal's Add button.
Can I move an entry to a different meal?
Not directly. Delete it from the meal it's in, then log it again from the correct meal's own Add button, which opens the logger already scoped to that meal.
Can I catch it before it's saved?
Yes. While a food is still staged on your Plate, tap the trash icon next to it to remove it, then add the right one.

Frequently asked
I logged the wrong food entirely, not just the wrong amount, what do I do?
Tap the entry and choose Delete, or swipe the row all the way across. Then log the right food from that meal's Add button.
Can I move an entry to a different meal after logging it?
Not directly. Delete it from the meal it's in, then log it again from the correct meal's own Add button.
I swiped the row and the Delete slid back before I could tap it
That's how it works. Keep swiping all the way across rather than stopping to tap. A short swipe springs the row back on purpose, so nothing is deleted by a half-gesture.
