Ingredients

  • lemon juice
  • Cornflour - from maize starch
  • Caster Sugar
  • CINNAMON GROUND
  • Nutmeg, ground
  • Fuji Apple

Instructions

  1. 1.Fill a medium bowl with 1/4 cup (62ml) cold water. Add lemon juice and apple and toss to combine. Drain apple, reserving 1/6 cup (10 ml) of the lemon water.
  2. 2.Add cornflour to the reserved lemon water and stir to combine.
  3. 3.Place apple, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook, covered, stirring occasionally, for 5 mins or until apple softens
  4. 4.Add cornflour mixture and cook, stirring, for 2 mins or until mixture thickens slightly. Set aside to cool completely.
  5. 5.Serve stewed apples with muesli and yoghurt.
