Ingredients
- lemon juice
- Cornflour - from maize starch
- Caster Sugar
- CINNAMON GROUND
- Nutmeg, ground
- Fuji Apple
Instructions
- 1.Fill a medium bowl with 1/4 cup (62ml) cold water. Add lemon juice and apple and toss to combine. Drain apple, reserving 1/6 cup (10 ml) of the lemon water.
- 2.Add cornflour to the reserved lemon water and stir to combine.
- 3.Place apple, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook, covered, stirring occasionally, for 5 mins or until apple softens
- 4.Add cornflour mixture and cook, stirring, for 2 mins or until mixture thickens slightly. Set aside to cool completely.
- 5.Serve stewed apples with muesli and yoghurt.
