Instructions
- 1.Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan-forced) and line a baking tray with baking paper. Drain and rinse the chickpeas, then pat them thoroughly dry with a paper towel to ensure maximum crunch.
- 2.In a mixing bowl, toss the dried chickpeas with the olive oil, garlic powder, and dried oregano until they are evenly coated.
- 3.Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer on the prepared baking tray. Roast in the oven for 15-20 minutes, shaking the tray halfway through, until they are beginning to turn golden.
- 4.Carefully remove the tray from the oven. Sprinkle the nutritional yeast and salt over the chickpeas and toss well to ensure even coverage.
- 5.Return the tray to the oven for a final 5-8 minutes until the chickpeas are golden brown and crispy. Watch closely to ensure the yeast is toasted but not burnt.
- 6.Remove from the oven and allow the chickpeas to cool on the tray for at least 5 minutes; they will continue to crisp up as they reach room temperature.
